Rice University has a Shared Equipment Authority (SEA) facility available for any research group on campus.  SEA oversees a portfolio of diverse equipment originally purchased through a variety of single investigator, collaborative and institutional grants. Some of the many instruments we have access to on campus are Transmission Electron Microscopes, Scanning Electron Microscopes, Atomic Force Microscopes, and a variety of X-Ray Diffraction instruments, among others.

In our laboratory space we have the following equipment:

· 8 inert atmosphere Schlenk lines

· High vacuum line

· Thermolyne high temperature muffle furnace

· Lindberg high temperature furnace

·ASI ReactIR 1000 system (with QuantIRTM software for measuring IR in situ at elevated temperatures and pressures

· vacuum atmospheres two-man recirculating glove-box with refrigerator

· vacuum atmospheres one-man recirculating glove-box with microscope port

· Adams Dynac Centrifuge
